Chicago, IL – Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich appointed a woman to a state panel shortly after her business donated $25,000 to the governor.
Fortunee Massuda was named to the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board that approves construction projects at hospitals in Illinois last year.
The federal government is investigating that panel's practices.
Records show Massuda's foot clinic gave Blagojevich the money three weeks before she was appointed to the board.
Blagojevich's aides have said there was no connection between the money and appointments.
