Kansas City – Missouri highway billboards advertising sex-themed businesses will be a thing of the past. Governor Holden signed a bill Thursday banning them.
Holden said parents should not be forced to answer questions about sex from children who see the racy signs along the highway, and the Democratic leader also says roads will be safer if drivers aren't distracted by the billboards.
Any business that allows nudity or uses at least ten percent of its space to promote pornography is included in the ban.
All the billboards already in place can stay where they are until August of 2007.
