St. Louis – Three more people are suing former St. Louis-area priest Michael McGrath for sexual abuse.
The priest abuse victims' group SNAP says that makes 18 lawsuits against the former priest.
Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests director David Clohessy calls McGrath the most notorious abuser in the St. Louis archdiocese.
Clohessy says some fake lawsuits are filed in the U.S., but he believes the claims against McGrath.
"Very few of them know one another; very few have talked to one another," Clohessy said. "And the experiences they relate are all painfully similar. The description of some of the places they were abused; the things Father McGrath said to them."
SNAP also wants Archbishop Raymond Burke to beg parishioners where McGrath has served to come forward.
McGrath was removed from priesthood in 1997.
