Springfield, Ill. – A company that gave Rod Blagojevich's campaign fund more than $25,000 in Illinois has won a $214,000 state contract.
Maximus Inc., of Reston, Va. will recommend ways for the state to save a million dollars on vehicle costs. The state has so far gotten rid of more than 1,700 state-owned vehicles. The governor's office says donations played no role in awarding the contract.
Last year Blagojevich demanded the state find ways to save money by reducing its 13,000 vehicle fleet.
