St. Louis, MO – Attorneys for opponents of the law say their computers have crashed. That means they won't be able to meet today's deadline to
file written arguments with the state Supreme Court. Supreme Court judges have shown some sympathy -- agreeing to
delay the deadline until noon next Wednesday. But the high court says it won't delay oral arguments in the
case, which are scheduled for January 22. Until then, the concealed guns law will remain on hold, under a
decision by a St. Louis judge that it violates the state constitution. The law would let most people age 23 and older apply for
concealed gun permits from their county sheriffs.
