Sprint Agrees to Honor Missouri's No-Call List

By AP/KWMU

Kansas City, Mo. – Attorney General Jay Nixon said today that
Sprint has agreed to honor Missouri's no-call list, even though it's not legally required to.

The agreement means Sprint will no longer make telemarketing calls to the more than 1.2 million home phones on Missouri's no-call list.

Nixon filed the agreement in St. Louis Circuit Court. It allows the state to go after Sprint if the company calls Missouri
residents who are on the list.

Telephone companies are exempt from the state's no-call list.

However, Nixon has sued MCI, AT&T and Southwsetern Bell. He is accusing them of ignoring a federal law that prohibits them
from making repeated telemarketing calls to people who have specifically asked them not to.
