Clayton, MO – If Thomas Erbland's case makes it to trial, his jury will not be from St. Louis County.
Erbland is accused of killing his wife, KMOX host Nan Wyatt in February. A judge Thursday ordered a jury from Howell County on the Arkansas border be brought in, given publicity surrounding the case.
St. Louis County Circuit Judge James Hartenbach says he anticipates bringing the jurors from Howell County back to Clayton for the trial. A lawyer for Erbland argued that media coverage from the February slaying makes it impossible to pick an unbiased St. Louis County jury.
Erbland is charged with first-degree murder in the Wyatt's death at their suburban St. Louis home. He is currently jailed without bond.
