Jefferson City, MO – Last month's poor showing by Democrats in Missouri has led to a change in leadership.
The head of the state's Democratic Party, Mike Kelley,is stepping down and several staff members are leaving. Kelley and other Democrats said the reorganization was largely the result of the November election, when the party lost control of the House and Senate for the first time since 1948.
The 27-year-old Kelley will continue working for the party as a spokesman.
