Enhanced Gate Screening at Lambert

By T. Weber, KWMU

St. Louis, MO – Travelers at Lambert Airport in St. Louis will face some security changes starting Friday. Officials are eliminating a second round of security checks, which are currently done randomly just before passengers board planes.

Security director Bill Switzer says the change will make air travel more efficient for travelers and airlines.

The changes mean passengers will not be allowed to check in AT their gate. Everyone will be instead required to have a boarding pass when they get to security checkpoints. The new policy only affects travelers in Lambert's main terminal.
