St. Louis, MO – Wintery conditions proved tragic in two fatal accidents outside St. Louis today.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman says a 43-year-old Fletcher man was killed in Jefferson County after he got out of his
vehicle to assist another driver around 5:45a.m.
A third driver then lost control in the slippery conditions. The good Samaritan Terry McNew was struck and pronounced dead at the scene.
The officer says 35-year-old Robin Tipton of Troy died after she lost control of her car in a separate St. Charles County accident.
She struck a highway sign and two other cars. One of those cars was already off the road and unoccupied.
Tipton was pronounced dead this morning at a Wentzville hospital.
