St. Louis, MO – The company planning to build the largest cement plant in the country south of St. Louis has cleared another regulatory hurdle.
The state of Missouri has issued a water quality permit for the Holcim USA project in St. Genevieve County. The cement plant still has several other permits pending before construction can begin.
The Missouri Coalition for the Environmental, which had objected to the state's initial approval of Holcim's water quality permit, has not decided whether to appeal this latest action.
