ST. LOUIS – Holiday traffic is expected to be heaviest Wednesday and Sunday and Missouri's state troopers will be out in force. Missouri State Highway spokesman Sergeant Al Nothum said that all available officers will be working.
Nothum also said they're available to help motorists who've broken down, and will be keeping an eye out for those breaking the law.
"We're also going to be looking for the drunk driver, the aggressive driver, and the ones not using their seatbelt," Nothum said,"So these are all things that we'll be looking for on the highway."
Missouri's forecast calls for cold temperatures and occasional showers, but no snow.
Nothum said that one thing rural drivers should watch out for is deer and that there are more deer-car collisions in November than any other month.
