St. Louis – A second guard at the City Justice Center in downtown St. Louis has pleaded guilty to federal drug distribution charges.
Peggy Lynn O'Neal admitted to her role in the operation on Friday. O'Neal and two other guards are accused of accepting cash to bring heroin to an inmate at the Justice Center several times between January and March. James Moore pleaded guilty on Wednesday; a third guard, Marilyn Brown, will stand trial.
Both Moore and O'Neal will be sentenced Oct. 30. Each count could lead to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
