St. Louis – Two carjacking suspects were killed in a wrong way crash on Interstate 70 this weekend.
Anthony Thomas, 23, and 22-year-old Darrell Thomas tried to elude police Saturday night in a stolen Chevrolet Cobalt. They were driving east in the westbound lanes of I-70 when they hit another car.
That car also turned out to be stolen, but its occupants had nothing to do with the carjacking.
The four teenagers in the second vehicle suffered serious to critical injuries.
The chase began when a St. Charles County sheriff's deputy on a prisoner run to St. Louis city tried to stop the Chevy.
Authorities said Anthony Thomas rammed the police car and fired shots at the deputy.
