St. Louis – The Serb-run concentration camps around the Bosnian city of Prijedor were the first seen in Europe since World War II.
A new exhibit at the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and learning center remembers the thousands killed there in 1992, and explains why the world allowed the genocide in Bosnia to continue for three more years.
KWMU's Matt Sepic has the story of a Bosnian couple who survived the siege of Prijedor and eventually resettled in St. Louis.
It aired on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday. Click here to link to the audio at npr.org.
