St. Louis – A memorial service will be held this weekend for an Illinois pilot who died after a plane crash in the St. Louis suburb of Festus.
Family members of Anthony Watts of Carterville, Ill. say he died Wednesday at Saint Louis University Hospital.
The 46-year-old was found unconscious by rescuers on October 8 after his crash in a Piper 28.
The nurse anesthetist flew to his on-call work at several hospitals. Watts' family says his body will be cremated, but a memorial service will be held Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Frankfort.
