St. Louis, MO – Another construction site in St. Louis City was destroyed by fire.

It happened early Wednesday, the day before the one year anniversary of two still-unsolved arsons in the Lafayette Square neighborhood.

The blaze occurred in the Central West End near Lindell and Vandeventer, where the old Salad Bowl restaurant used to stand.

The Salad Bowl was torn down last year to make room for new construction and that construction is what burned. A new Arby's being built next door behind an existing Arby's was also destroyed.

Investigators are trying to determine if the cause was arson.

There were at least four unsolved arsons last year at buildings either under construction or being rehabbed. The person or people who set those fires have never been caught.
