St. Louis, MO – Veronica O'Brien's days as President of the St. Louis School Board appear numbered.
The Board has scheduled a meeting for Thursday morning, and her removal as president is the second item on the agenda. Specifically, the agenda item reads "vote to remove current President from office."
The agenda also includes a resolution challenging the state's takeover of the district.
A three-person panel is expected to take control of the financially and academically troubled district in June. The resolution challenges the authority of the proposed transitional board; the elected school board also might consider a lawsuit to try to stop the takeover.
