St. Louis, MO – People in the Riverview Gardens School District are waiting to learn if the superintendent there will be fired.
The Post-Dispatch reports that school board members held a closed meeting Tuesday night to discuss firing Henry Williams.
The newspaper had reported on Monday that Williams diverted at least $85,000 in extra payments to his retirement and insurance accounts during his five years on the job.
Williams was not at the meeting and there was no public discussion of him by the board.
The district, in north St. Louis County, has about 8,000 students.
