Jefferson City, MO – A second judge has put Missouri's new anti-abortion law on hold.
The new law, in part, lets parents sue anyone who helps their daughter get an abortion without their permission.
A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order the day after Governor Matt Blunt signed the bill into law. On Monday, a state judge did the same thing.
Both judges say the provision appears to violate the constitutional right of free speech.
Planned Parenthood and a clinic in Springfield filed the lawsuits.
More arguments will now take place in both courts. A spokeswoman for the governor says Blunt stands by the new law.
