St. Louis, MO – St. Louis-based Charter Communications completed its sale Monday of systems in five states.
About 228,500 Charter customers in the eastern U.S. will soon become Atlantic Broadband customers.
Atlantic is paying $735 million.
Charter sold the systems because it needs to pay off debt.
The sale was first announced last September. It includes cable TV systems in Miami Beach, Western Pennsylvania, the Maryland/Delaware Peninsula and West Virginia.
