St. Louis, MO – The road for Olympic divers will go through St. Peters next year. The St. Louis suburb was awarded the 2004 Olympic Diving Trials yesterday, over New York, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Seattle.
The trials determine who goes to the Olympics, and will be held at the St. Peters Rec-Plex next June. They'll also be part of a yearlong centennial celebration commemorating St. Louis's hosting of 1904 World's Fair and Olympics.
Diving saw its debut as an Olympic sport at the St. Louis games.
