Press Club’s “Beauty Buzz” Fundraiser to Help Student
Journalists
The St. Louis Press Club’s Beauty Buzz fundraiser in
partnership with Neiman Marcus on Saturday, September 17 will
highlight fun, beauty and helping future journalists.
The popular annual Press Club student journalism
scholarship fundraiser will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30
p.m. at Neiman Marcus at Plaza Frontenac. Doors open at 10
a.m.
All proceeds will go to scholarships for young people seeking
careers in communications.
This year’s theme, “All Things Beauty,” will showcase beauty
looks for day, night or any occasion. Beauty experts from Neiman
Marcus will offer tips, makeup demonstrations and customized
consultations. Jasmine Huda, Fox 2 KTVI news anchor/reporter,
once again will emcee the program.
The Press Club will hold a drawing for a “Shopping Day of
Luxury” that includes a $1,000 Neiman Marcus gift card and lunch
for two at Neiman’s Mariposa restaurant. Five other beauty
baskets will be raffled. Strolling models will highlight up-to-date fall
trends throughout the event.

Becky Domyan, event chair and a Press Club Board member,
said that one of the main missions of Press Club is to invest in
future journalists.
“We want to make sure students have access to scholarships,”
Domyan said. “Beauty Buzz is one of our biggest fundraising
events of the year.”
