Art Culture King: The Great Escape

Art Culture King: The Great Escape
Join the Foundry Art Centre for the unveiling of the fifth annual Grand Hall Art Project, featuring The Great Escape, a three-part mural by St. Louis artist Art Culture King.
The Grand Hall Art Project, begun in 2021, is an exhibition program featuring original, commissioned work by professional artists installed in the Foundry Art Centre’s Grand Hall. As with all of the Foundry’s arts and exhibitions programs, the project places a special emphasis on the extraordinary talent of our region’s artists.
Art Culture King, aka Cameron Williams, is a passionate illustrator and painter whose work explores themes of mental health and childhood trauma. With a distinctive style that blends colorful imagery, powerful lines, graffiti-style storytelling, and dark meaning, Art Culture King captures the imagination and invites viewers into richly crafted visual worlds.
The Great Escape is made possible with public support from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
Please join the Foundry for the unveiling of The Great Escape on Friday, September 5th, from 5-8pm. Live music by Rashad the Dude, art activities, and more will be available throughout the evening as part of the Foundry’s First Friday programming. Addyson Hoey’s solo exhibition, All At Once, will open the same evening in the East Gallery; Zack Smithey’s solo exhibition will be on view in the Main Galleries.
