Cahokia Unit School District 187

The proposed legislation passed in the Illinois House of Representatives on Thursday. The Mascoutah Indians, Collinsville Kahoks, Cahokia High School Comanches and Whiteside Junior High’s Warriors could all be required to change.

With the help of an alternative financing mechanism that doesn’t require a bond referendum, Cahokia Community Unit School District 187 is forging ahead with a new high school.

The program provides federal support for high-need school districts to implement, improve or expand their human resources system, which must include a performance-based compensation system.
