Clayton, MO – St. Louis County authorities say a prostitute knew she had the virus that causes AIDS but still had sexual encounters with several men.

Prosecutors on Thursday charged Nigaila Gibbs, 20, of St. Louis with prostitution while being knowingly infected with HIV. Gibbs is jailed on $50,000 bond.

Police say Gibbs had several sexual encounters with men but did not tell them she was HIV-positive.

Authorities urge anyone who has had sex with Gibbs to contact the county police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, and seek medical treatment.
