St. Louis – Workers at GKN Aerospace in St. Louis have accepted the company's latest contract offer.
Eighty-nine percent of the employees who voted Sunday approved the three-year proposal, a week after they rejected an earlier offer and authorized union leaders to call a strike if necessary.
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said the main sticking points were pension benefits and overtime rules.
The GKN plant in Hazelwood makes parts for Boeing and other companies.
