St. Louis, MO. – Chelsea Clinton was in Missouri Sunday night and Monday campaigning for her mother.
She took questions from college students at the University of Missouri St. Louis Monday afternoon about the economy, the war in Iraq, and education.
The first question the 27-year old fielded was about how Hillary Clinton would make college more affordable.
Chelsea Clinton says her mother believes those who work in public service should get a break.
"And what's really innovative about what's she's recommended versus her colleagues in the primary is that she wants people's jobs, if they're in public service, to count as loan repayment," Clinton said. "So if you were to go into teaching or nursing then that service in and of itself would count as loan repayment."
She says Hillary Clinton also wants a $3,500 tax credit for each student in each family and to expand Pell Grants.
Chelsea Clinton visited Cape Girardeau Sunday evening and was at the University of Missouri in Columbia Monday morning. Later in the day she stopped by the University of Missouri St. Louis and Kayak's Coffee near Washington University.
