St. Louis, MO – Transportation officials say that last week's inspection found the Daniel Boone Bridge in St. Louis County is in fair condition. The inspection was in response to Governor Matt Blunt's call to check out all bridges similar to the one that collapsed in Minneapolis last month, killing 13. The three-day inspection of the bridge that carries Highway 40 over the Missouri River found that some maintenance work needs to be done in the next few months -- but for now, it is safe for the traveling public.
