St. Charles, Mo. – A 67-year-old man was sentenced to death Monday for killing his wife as part of a 1992 shooting spree at the St. Louis County Courthouse.

Following a jury's recommendation, St. Charles County Circuit Judge Lucy Rauch handed down the death penalty for Kenneth Baumruk.

Baumruk's attorney, Robert Steele, says he will appeal the sentence.

Baumruk is now the oldest man on Missouri's death row.

Four others were injured during the shooting spree that occurred during the Baumruks' divorce proceeding.

A previous conviction and death sentence in 2001 were thrown out by the Missouri Supreme Court, which ruled the trial should not have taken place at the same courthouse where the shooting occurred, prompting the move to St. Charles County.
