Ste. Genevieve, MO – Police in St. Genevieve, Mo. say a man shot and killed a woman at a grocery store Tuesday, then killed himself.
Witnesses told police that the two had argued just before the shooting. Police say the two knew each other but weren't related.
The shooting happened about 2:30 p.m. at Roziers Country Mart in Ste. Genevieve, about 55 miles south of St. Louis.
A woman in her late 40s or 50s was shot just inside the store's entrance, then the gunman shot himself, police said. There were about 40 people in the store and no one else was injured by the gunfire.
The man, describe in his late 20s, fired six shots from a .357-caliber revolver. He died at the scene while the victim was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
