Metropolis, Ill. – Superman fans will soon have another reason to go to the real-life town of Metropolis, Illinois. The town is well known for the Superman statue that stands on the courthouse lawn.
But there are now plans to build a Lois Lane statue, a mock-up of which should be ready in two months.
The local chamber of commerce is also selling commemorative bricks to raise money for the statue.
The completed statue will stand near the Superman statue that welcomes visitors yearround, but especially during the town's annual four-day Superman Celebration. The hope is to have Lois ready to go for next year's celebration.
