Kirksville, MO – The body of a Marine from Kirksville, Mo. returned home Wednesday.
Rex Page's parents say they were touched to see a man standing alone on a street, waving a flag, at 2:00 a.m. as their son's body was driven into town. They say strangers like that are helping them gain strength after their son's death.
Page, 21, died in Germany last month after being wounded in Iraq. There will be a visitation Saturday and a funeral on Sunday.
The Pages received their son's body when it arrived in Kansas City Tuesday, and an airport employee gave them each a hug and told them about the men he buried in Vietnam.
