St. Louis, MO – There will be a funeral Tuesday morning at 10:00 for a Marine from the St. Louis area who was killed last week in Iraq.
Private First Class Christopher White, 23, grew up in Kentucky but his family now lives in Arnold. His body was received with military honors at Lambert Airport Monday night.
White was killed along with two other Marines when their armor-plated Humvee was struck by a roadside bomb. He planned to marry his girlfriend after his deployment ended in less than two months.
At Monday night's ceremony, White's dad, who is retired from the Army, was wearing his son's baseball cap. He saluted his son as the coffin was loaded into the hearse.
