St. Louis, MO – Dr. Robert Ballard is best known as the man who found the Titanic in 1985.

That led to several other major finds, including the German battleship Bismarck and John F. Kennedy's patrol boat, PT-109.

Now, Ballard is preparing for the biggest expedition of his career.

He'll speak Thursday night at Powell Symphony Hall, and told KWMUs Kevin Lavery that his early work in the 1960s focused on natural history.
