Jefferson City, MO – Exports of Missouri goods to other nations have reached an all-time high.

The Department of Economic Development says $10.5 billion in goods went abroad from Missouri last year. That's up 16 percent from 2004.

Nine of the state's top ten export categories registered higher foreign sales in 2005, with minerals and ore products up more than 300%. Sales of Missouri agricultural products rose 49% and food-product sales jumped 37%.

The top destinations for Missouri products include Canada, Mexico, China and the United Kingdom.

The data were compiled by the World Institute for Strategic Economic Research.
