St. Louis, MO. – A Wentzville school superintendent faces charges for allegedly patronizing prostitution.
Tom Byrnes was arrested Wednesday night near the woman's Lake Saint Louis home on a traffic stop.
Police are seeking charges of patronizing prostitution, stalking and a public servant acceding to corruption.
STLToday.com reports police suspect Byrnes may have used taxpayer funds.
Officials say the 55-year-old superintendent was under criminal investigation by Wentzville and Lake Saint Louis police for about one week before his arrest.
Byrnes is on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the case.
