St. Louis, MO – Ameren said Monday morning fewer than 3,000 customers in the St. Louis region were without power after storms moved through Sunday night.

Those storms brought with them tornado warnings, heavy rain and wind, and caused some damage. But there are no reports of any tornados in the St. Louis area.

At least one tornado was reported yesterday in western Missouri.

In Brentwood, live power lines fell on a car in the south-bound lanes of Hanley Road. The road remained shut down Monday morning, and the afternoon at the earliest before Hanley reopens at Litzinger.

High winds also toppled a tractor-trailer in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store in Maplewood. The store was also damaged, with windows and doors smashed.

No serious injuries were reported, either, in the region.
