St. Louis, MO – St. Louis area police officers and firefighters will duke it out in the boxing ring tonight (Wednesday).

The annual Guns 'N Hoses' will pit firefighters against police officers in 17 bouts at the Savvis Center. Police won 12 of the 17 fights last year.

Guns 'N Hoses' raises money for Backstoppers, a group that helps families of those police and fire personnel who die in the line of duty.

The first 'Guns 'N Hoses' was held in 1987. Since then, the event has raised more than $1.4 million.

Tonight's event starts at 7:30 p.m.
