St. Louis, MO – About 13,000 addresses in St. Charles County will get a new ZIP code, starting July 1.
The U.S. Postal Service on Thursday announced its first ZIP code change in the St. Louis area since 1993.
Everyone in the town of Dardenne Prairie, along with some homes with O'Fallon and St. Charles zip codes will switch to a new zip code: 63368.
There will also be a switch for some people in Lake St. Louis from 63366 to 63367.
High population growth is the reason given for the need for a new ZIP code. Every address affected by the change will receive a letter from the Postal Service.
In general, the new 63368 ZIP code will include everyone inside the following area:
- Feise Road on the north.
- Henke Road to Sommers Road on the west.
- Highway DD southeast on US Highway 40-61 to Weldon Springs Road on the south.
- Progress Point Business Park, Weldon Springs Road and O'Fallon Road to Highways K and N on the east.
People in the new ZIP code will be serviced by the O'Fallon Main Post Office, at 401 Church Street.
The last ZIP code change in the St. Louis area, in 1993, established the 63304 ZIP code in St. Charles.
