Brentwood, MO – A Brentwood animal shelter reopened on Tuesday, after closing for a few days because of internal issues.
The Animal Protective Association closed Thursday when 12 of the shelter's 17 staff members quit, as did a number of board members. The staffers had submitted resignations to take effect later, but APA Board President Bill Durham informed them last week their resignations were accepted and effective immediately.
The Humane Society of Missouri has been helping APA take care of the animals in the interim.
