St. Louis – Nestle USA plans to close three plants in the St. Louis area.
More than 380 workers will lose their jobs.
A Nestle spokeswoman says the first plant will close in December with the other two closing in the second quarter of 2006.
Production will move to two plants in Itasca and Bloomington, Illinois, as well as another plant in Mexico.
The company told employees they could apply for jobs at the other plants but would not be guaranteed a position.
