St. Louis – Tenet Healthcare Corporation said Friday it will sell two St. Louis hospitals to Argilla Healthcare for 42 (m) million dollars.
They are Forest Park and St. Alexius Hospitals. The sale needs regulatory approval, but it's expected to be complete by the end of November.
Argilla Healthcare is a new company operated by Tom Reardon, a former executive with a health care turnaround company.
Argilla plans to retain most of the workers at the St. Louis hospitals.
California-based Tenet announced in January it was divesting 27 hospitals.
