UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. – A St. Louis County teenager faces 12 charges for attacks on two women.
Authorities believe the victims were chosen at random. The attacks happened earlier this month.
Police say one of the women was in a parked car waiting for her friend at an apartment complex. As the friend walked to the car, two men followed her and robbed both women at gunpoint.
The men ordered the driver to go to another location, where one woman was raped and the other sexually assaulted.
Eighteen-year-old Dannell Wise Jr. of University City is jailed on $250,000 bond on charges of rape, kidnapping, robbery and other counts. He did not have an attorney listed on Casenet, Missouri's online court reporting system.
The second suspect remains at large.
