Anheuser-Busch plans more job cuts with reorganization

By St. Louis Public Radio

St. Louis – Anheuser-Busch plans to fire more workers as part of a reorganization plan, however President Dave Peacock would not say how many jobs would be cut.

The Post-Dispatch reports the brewing giant plans to eliminate around 450 management positions across the country. At the same time the company is adding three new sales offices.

Beer sales dropped last year, and executives say the reorganization is meant to make the company as efficient as possible.

The brewer also plans to put more resources into marketing key brands such as Budweiser Bud Light, and Stella Artois.

After InBev took over Anheuser-Busch in 2008, the company eliminated more than 1,500 jobs in the St. Louis area.
