Washington – A former legislative aide to Sen. Kit Bond and Congressman Roy Blunt has pleaded guilty to hiding thousands of dollars of gifts from lobbyists.
Trevor Blackann, 34, is the latest political figure to go down in the Jack Abramoff corruption scandal.
Blackann pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to not reporting more than $4,100 in illegal gifts from lobbyists on his 2003 tax forms.
Those gifts included tickets to the World Series, concerts and sporting events, and entertainment at a "gentleman's club."
Blackann's plea is part of the ongoing investigation into lobbyist Jack Abramoff. In September, Abramoff was sentenced to two years in prison.
