St. Louis – Prosecutors have charged a St. Louis man with shooting a letter carrier.
Adrian Mabry, 23, faces charges of assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He is being held on $200,000 bond.
Authorities say he approached mailman Terry Marcrum on Monday and fired shots at his shoulder and head.
Marcrum, 44, is in fair condition at a St. Louis hospital. He was delivering mail in the Tower Grove South neighborhood when he was shot.
The suspect was arrested Tuesday at his grandmother's home on Giles Ave.
Ed Postawko with the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office would not comment today on a possible motive.
Mabry may also face federal charges in the case.
