Meramec River rising again

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis – High water is on its way back to some parts of Missouri. Some areas may see minor to moderate flooding this week because of storms on Monday, and forecasters are calling for more precipitation.

The National Weather Service says the Bourbeuse River at Union reached flood stage early yesterday.

The Meramec is also above flood stage in several places. It's predicted to crest Friday.

However damage is not expected to be nearly as bad as last month, when the Meramec crested at near-record levels in Valley Park, Pacific, Eureka and Fenton.
