St. Louis, MO – The chairman and CEO of St. Louis-based Savvis Incorporated has resigned.
That follows an investigation into whether Robert McCormick charged $241,000 to his corporate credit card to pay for a night at a topless club.
The incident was revealed after American Express filed a lawsuit for non-payment against Savvis and McCormick.
Savvis is fighting the suit and argues the bill was not a business expense. The company also recently said it was a personal expense that McCormick must pay.
Savvis said its board accepted McCormick's resignation following an independent investigation into the matter. An acting CEO has been named.
