St. Louis – Two people from Maryland pleaded guilty yesterday to improperly taking Missouri state tax credits.
Willie Adams and Maxine Allen also both agreed to cooperate with investigators looking into abuses of Missouri's tax credit program.
The two got more than $200,000 in tax credits from Missouri over three years for businesses that never opened.
They claimed they'd bought more than a million dollars in electronic equipment to get the credits.
